 Pink Ribbon Tattoo

Pink Ribbon Tattoo

When I got my breast cancer tattoo

I got my breast cancer tattoo on October 9th 2010

Description of my tattoo: art, colors, location

Simple pink ribbon tattoo with two shades of pink on the inside of my left wrist

The inspiration for my breast cancer tattoo

My Aunt is a survivor, my Grandmother is currently battling and I have a number of great friends fighting the fight as well.

Were you satisfied with your tattoo? Why or why not?

I love it and what it symbolizes for me personally and for my family.

Deciding On My Breast Cancer Tattoo

I thought about all the other tattoos I have and how they were cute and I liked them, but they really didn't stand for anything important. This one stands for so much and means so much to me personally. I feel like it's something extra I could do, besides the Komen walks, to really support my friends and family.

My Tattoo Experience

I decided that I wanted to do it on Friday and had the tattoo done the next day. I had my husband with me and a few of our close friends which made it such a great experience. Jake at Aces in Reno, NV did the work and it was a quick and easy process and exactly what I wanted. Aftercare is pretty standard, just keep it clean and moist :)

Advice

  • Tattoos are for life, so make sure this is something you are willing to live with forever. Take into consideration where you are putting the tattoo, some employers don't jive with visible ones and others do. Make sure you are comfortable with the artist and stencil/design and enjoy your new body art!
