Komen has two cards to choose from this year, one for Everything and one for the Promise. One verse reads: "Every Day Brings Promise. Thank you for making my world brighter and more loving. Happy Mother's Day. A generous donation has been made in your name to Susan G. Komen for the Cure."

A minimum donation of $10 per card is suggested. If imprinting is desired, please place your order no later than Friday, April 25, 2008, in order to assure delivery by Mother's Day, May 11. Mother's Day tribute cards are tax-deductible.

Order post-surgery swimwear online at Marks & Spencer, and they will kindly donate 10% of the sale to Breakthrough Breast Cancer U. K. Suits may cost about £30.00 ($59.48)

Does your Mom collect beautiful Asian figurines? Send her a pink, black, lavender or white Good Luck Cat figurine from Japan. 8. Pink Ribbons Gifts Support the Cause

Make a tax-deductible donation to honor or remember your mom at the Inflammatory Breast Cancer Research Foundation. One hundred percent of your donations go directly to support the mission and goals of the Foundation. Donations may be made by U.S. and Canadian citizens. Inflammatory Breast Cancer (IBC) is infiltrating ductal cancer (and rarely infiltrating lobular cancer) that has invaded into the lymph vessels of the skin. It is an advanced, aggressive form of cancer, and may not be detectable by a mammogram or an ultrasound.

10. American Cancer Society Donations

Give mom the gift of a donation to the American Cancer Society, by donating money, a car, or securities. You can also take advantage of matching gifts or leave a legacy. The ACS helps patients and family members who are fighting cancer with research, patient information services, community volunteer programs, and advocacy and public policy.
