Definition: (noun) A balloon-like sac filled with fluid, gas, or semisolid substances. These can show up anywhere in your body, and can vary in size.

A breast cyst is a benign (not cancerous) sac full of fluid that forms when your milk-producing glands become enlarged.

Pronunciation: sist
Common Misspellings: syst, sist, cysk, cysct
Examples: Breast cysts feel like lumps, but are moveable and will yield to pressure, like a water balloon. A cyst can be drained with an aspiration, if it becomes uncomfortable. An ultrasound can clearly show a cyst, as distinguished from other features in your breast.
