Mother's Day is Sunday, May 9 this year. If your mom carries a gym bag or a purse the size of an overnight suitcase, she might enjoy a slinky little SPIbelt. SPI just stands for Small Personal Items - like keys, cell phone, change, your iPod, or energy gel packs.  And if she would not mind supporting The Cause, she should know that a purchase of the limited edition Susan Komen SPIbelt generates a donation.  These sleek, skinny belts are not your grandma's fanny pack - they don't bounce around, they don't ruin your silhouette, and they will never weigh you down.  What they will do is fit waists from  24" to 40" and larger, and efficiently carry just the items that you must have on your body during a jog, a mall walk, or a fast trip to the coffee shop.  Mom could even keep her keys and lipstick in her SPIbelt and slip it into her purse to keep things organized.  SPIbelt uses 20% of its proceeds to contribute a flat donation of $2500 to the Susan G Komen Foundation every year.

But if your Mother is not a jogger or a coffee mamma, she may prefer other gifts that also generate donations to some pink ribbon charities.  Check out these ten items for Mother's Day - including jewelry, clothing, accessories, and great places to write a check!  Thank your mom or someone who has been like a mother to you this year with a card, letter, special meal, or a thoughtful gift.

Is your mom a breast cancer survivor?  She might like a pink ribbon gift of cookies, kitchen gadgets, tote bags, or special scarves.  Then on the other hand if Mom collects bracelets, you could shop for the best breast cancer awareness bracelet that suits her.  Or perhaps this is year that you will finally complete that hand-made craft item that you started last year for Mother's Day!  Dig it out of the hall closet, dust it off, and finish your project, and before you wrap it, take a photo and send it in to share with other readers.  However you do it, have a Happy Mother's Day!
