Robin Roberts, who co-anchors "Good Morning America" with Diane Sawyer, has announced that she has been diagnosed with early stage breast cancer. Roberts will have surgery on Friday, and radiation as follow-up therapy. She is 46, single, and her family has no history of breast cancer. On Tuesday's GMA show, she told viewers, "I am so blessed that I found this in the early stages and the prognosis is so promising that my doctor expects me to be flying planes and hanging on to submarines in the middle of the Atlantic and scaling the Mayan pyramids in no time."

I want Robin to know I’ll be praying for her sucessful surgery and complete recovery. I am a big fan from day one on Good Morning America which I watch almost every morning. I’ll be keeping her in my prayers she is going to be all right. God may be using her to bring attention to have every female check themselves and purhaps save more with early detection. I know I checked my self this morning after hearing her diagnosis. Stay strong Robin…The Lord is with you. I know you will be fine! Love, Marlene

Robin, it’s okay to be scared. Anyone would be. We are all human. You let us know that we are all vulnerable and you are the one to show faith, hope, strength and most of all love to each who may receive this terrible news. Our prayers will always be that new treatments and ultimately a cure will be found to end this awful disease.
