Pink Firetrucks For Survivor Rally

Pink Heals Firetruck With Survivors

My Breast Cancer Awareness Event

The Pink Heals Tour 2009 arrived in San Marcos, Texas on October 22, 2009. They raise funds for local breast cancer support organizations. Two huge, gorgeous pink firetrucks and firefighters dressed in PINK fire suits, with their firehouse dog drove up to the Embassy Suites Conference Center. They held a rally, with several speakers including a former mayor and survivors.

How I Celebrated Breast Cancer Awareness

I got a pink t-shirt and attended the rally with my father and his little dog. I took photos and watched as people wrote their names on the fire trucks. Several local organizations were there with information and volunteers at tables where you could learn more about their services.

Lessons Learned

  • This was an awesome event!
  • Pink Heals Tour is returning to Texas again in 2010
  • I plan on attending every time they are in town.

Pam Stephan, Breast Cancer Guide, says:

Pink Heals Tour gathers support from local fire houses all over the country, raising awareness and funds to fight cancer. They don't give up, and they want to save women and children first.
