Definition: A sulcus is a fine groove or fissure in tissue.

The line at which the skin of your nipple and areola meet is called the areolar sulcus. This is where nipple inversion and retraction occurs.

The fold between your breasts is called the intermammary sulcus, more commonly known as cleavage.

The crease underneath your breast where it meets your chest wall is called the inframammary sulcus, or inframammary fold.
