Definition: A type of white blood cell found in the blood and lymph systems; part of the immune system.

Lymphocytes come in two general categories: b- and t- lymphocyte.

Also Known As: lymph cell

Examples:
B-lymphocytes are the source of antibodies that help fight infection.
