Benefit Extends Past Five Years of Tamoxifen Therapy
Women who have taken Tamoxifen as follow-up therapy after treatment for estrogen-receptor positive breast cancer can protect themselves against recurrence by taking Femara (letrozole), an aromatase inhibitor. A new study done by Dr. Paul Goss of Massachusetts General Hospital, was published in the Journal of Clinical Oncology, and shows the benefit of Femara for postmenopausal women.
