Barbara Delinsky wants to give you some Uplift. She writes; "I put UPLIFT together because, as a survivor, I saw the need for a book that treated breast cancer as a do-able experience." Barbara started asking for submissions from her readers in October 2000, and they responded with practical advice about survival: chemo, hair, radiation, surgery, men, family, working during treatment. This book contains no medical information, but it does have; "practical tips and upbeat anecdotes for those with breast cancer." Barbara donates all of her proceeds from the sale of UPLIFT to her charitable foundation for breast cancer research.
