The 2012 national election is a very tight race. Right now, many states are open for early voting. I've already cast my vote and am urging everybody to vote this year. Don't skip it, don't get complacent, and don't think you can't tip the balance.
The issues are many, with a recent CNN poll listing healthcare reform as the #2 topic of concern. Also affecting the race will be concerns about many women's health issues: access to abortion and contraception services, funding for breast screenings, and Medicare. Then there was the bomb dropped by Rep. Todd Akin about "legitimate rape" which opened up a discussion on the definition of rape. (I think we need more women reps in Missouri, don't you?)
No matter which candidates you support, make sure you know where they stand on the issues that matter to you. Do your homework, make your decision, and then set aside time to go vote.
