While I was in recovery from breast cancer treatment, I suffered from frozen shoulders. It was almost impossible to fasten my bra, put dishes away on a shelf, or turn the car steering wheel easily. I felt sort of limited and broken. I was referred to a wonderful physical therapist who specialized in shoulders, and also taught Pilates. Her name was Gail, and she was in wonderful shape - she had grace and flexibility and stamina. I wanted to be just like her. Imagine my pleasure when I happened across this new article about Pilates and breast cancer recovery, from the About.com Guide to Pilates! Here are three pages from a hands-on expert in exercise and breast cancer recovery - if you're in recovery - these are good for you.
