Sean Cooper is a really wonderful man - a brave man - who has faced male breast cancer and survived. Diagnosed in May 2007, his first thoughts were for his family and how they would get by if he were not there to provide for them. He was greatly supported by his wife and children, which helped him through this experience: "the love for my family, my love of life and wanting these to continue for years to come." Sean Cooper talks about his diagnosis and treatment, as well as how he dealt with his emotions.

New Research underway - the Life and Livelihood Study is enrolling participants who are female musician survivors of breast cancer. The study explores how breast cancer and its treatment affects the occupational well-being of musicians. The study website, musiciansurvivor.org, has an online survey that takes 20 minutes. Female musicians in the U.S. who have completed breast cancer treatment with no recurrence between 1-5 years are eligible to take the full survey; others may contribute their comments at the end.
I am a musician recently diagnosed with breast cancer. I need to be in touch with other musicians who have dealt with this. I am just starting this dreaded journey. I need help.
