October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Kellie and Dylan Walenciak found a unique way to raise awareness in his second-grade class. They started with a pumpkin and an M&M Holiday Stocking, and let their creativity have full play! The Walenciaks have family and friends who have fought breast cancer, and they recently participated in this year's Komen Walk for the Cure.

Gee, do we have to make 2nd graders aware of breast cancer? Can’t we just let them be carefree kids? Just one more thing to scare them about, long before they even have breasts. Stop it! It’s NOT cute.
