October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Ellen DeGeneres first heard of breast cancer when she was just 16. Her mother lost a breast to the disease, but has been well for the last 34 years. Ellen would like more mothers and daughters to have a happy ending to their own breast cancer story, and that's why she is partnering with General Mills in PinkTogether.com to raise awareness and support.
General Mills has donated $2 million to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, and for every profile created on PinkTogether, they will donate an additional $1 (up to $100,000), through October 31st, 2007. Breast Cancer awareness will be raised when you purchase special PinkTogether packaged products - each of which contain more information about PinkTogether.com and how users can share their own story, a bio and photo of Ellen DeGeneres, and a detailed list of products included with Pink for the Cure.
