Elizabeth Edwards to Speak About Living With Cancer

Tuesday May 1, 2007
Discovery Channel Elizabeth Edwards
Breast cancer survivors are living longer, even if their disease returns. New treatments can make living with cancer possible, managing it as a chronic disease. On Sunday, May 6 at 8 p.m. Eastern time, the Discovery Channel will air a three-hour special dedicated to the discussion of living with cancer. Elizabeth Edwards, wife of presidential hopeful John Edwards, will take part in the live Town Meeting part of the program. She will speak about living with the challenge of her breast cancer recurrence while on the campaign trail and raising a family. Ted Koppel will host the program, which also includes Leroy Sievers, Koppel's executive producer and a colon cancer survivor.
