Breast Cancer Survivor Moms to be Honored by Pink Power

Friday April 27, 2007

Nominate a Survivor for Pink Power Mom

Even though having a child before age 25 and breastfeeding can lower your risk of developing breast cancer, mothers do sometimes get diagnosed with this disease. You may know a mother, grandmother, or aunt who has overcome breast cancer and "used the opportunity to model positive lessons to all, especially their children." Here's your chance to send them for a wellness weekend, a Komen Pink Tie Ball, a feature in "Fit Pregnancy" magazine, with all expenses paid. Each of the eight Pink Power Moms will also be able to designate a monetary donation to the breast cancer charity of their choice. Bright Starts™ infant and baby gear brand, made by Kids II, Inc., is asking for nominations for Pink Power Moms through June 15, 2007.
