African-American Male Breast Cancer Survival Rates Lower

Thursday March 22, 2007

Racial Disparity for African-American Men and Women Breast Cancer Patients

A new study done with data from Surveillance Epidemiology and End Results (SEER) cancer registry shows that African-American men who were treated for male breast cancer had a 66% five-year survival rate. Caucasian male breast cancer patients had a 90% survival rate, 5 years after treatment. "Racial disparities in outcomes in women with breast cancer have been well studied," said Dr. Dawn L. Hershman. "This study shows that similar racial disparities exist for men. While male breast cancer is rare, understanding the factors that black men and women with breast cancer have in common may help us understand the reasons for these disparities." During 2006, a total of 400 men died of breast cancer.

The reason that Blacks, men and people with black hair have cancer is their need for more Thiamine, Folic Acid and an Amino Acid Cystine. I am told that Cystine is naturally found in all the foods that Thiamine is found in.
