95-year-old Breast Cancer Fighter Roars Ahead on Motorbike

Friday March 16, 2007

If you want to do something in your life, get on with it.

"She's a hard act to follow," said Helen Groeber, 87-year-old sister of Elizabeth Woodhouse. That's Dr. Elizabeth Woodhouse to the rest of us, because she got an honorary doctorate from Urbana University last year, after having raised four children, written four books of fiction, and spent 44 years as the director of Greater Springfield Daycare in Springfield, Ohio. Woodhouse is working down her life's to-do list, taking a motorcycle ride, getting a tattoo, and snow skiing. Although Woodhouse is a terminal breast cancer patient, she is keeping things positive and is surrounded by family and friends.
