Post-surgical Breast Cancer Treatment Order Not Critical

If you've had surgery for breast cancer and have been advised to have chemotherapy and radiation, a new study shows that the order in which those treatments are given does not affect survival. The study was led by Dr. Brigid Hickey in Brisbane, Australia at the Southern Zone Radiation Oncology Service. Dr. Hickey noted that if radiation and chemotherapy are given simultaneously, you will experience more side effects.

Studies also state the adverse effects of chemo may be reduced by walking programs as well.
