Exercise Helps Beat Breast Cancer to the Punch
Thursday July 6, 2006
Women who are in treatment for, or are recovering from breast cancer can add regular exercise to their arsenal of weapons for the fight, according to a new study from University of Alberta. Physiotherapist Margaret McNeely and her team studied randomized controlled trials on the topic of exercise and breast cancer. They concluded that if done properly, exercise improves quality of life, alleviates fatigue and improves fitness, even during treatment.
Your physical fitness is one of the risk factors that is under your control, for prevention as well as recovery from breast cancer.
