Beautiful, Colorful, Supportive Quilts for Breast Cancer

Do you want to do something creative, beautiful, colorful, and supportive, to help fight breast cancer? Quilts are one way to pour your energy into a good cause. You can create quilts either on your own, or as a group effort. They can be used in auctions as fund-raisers or displayed as art which raises awareness.
Today I saw a breast cancer quilt in my oncologist's office, each square had been done by a different person, and then the squares were joined together and quilted with neat hand-sewn stiches that radiated in gentle arcs. The care and patience that went into it raised my spirits. Want a lift, or to get some ideas for your own quilts? See some great examples in the About Quilting web site.

Proud of the quilter and her allowing you to use it so the word can be spread to help women. Thank you. Joann
I have seen Debbies quilt in person. It definitely gives a very strong message how important awareness is. I loved the quilt. Too bad there are not more ads regarding having mammograms in order to diagnose this silent disease, that does not cause pain soon enough, and many times it has spread before detected, instead of so many ads of…What foods may cause different types of cancer!!
I am a four time survivor and am looking for a breast cancer quilt. I don’t care for the one on the Komen site. If anyone knows where I can purchase one, please let me know. elizcart@yahoo.com. Thanks!
Today is my 5 year anniversary. I made a Grandmother’s Flower garden quilt in pinks during my year of treatment, and I would like to find a place to auction or sell it to raise money to donate. Any suggestions?
