Eat Light, Drink Right, Before Your First Chemo

My first three chemo experiences were not happy ones, but if someone had told me how to prepare better, I would really have appreciated it. After I started doing this routine, my treatments went much better. So please let me save you some time on the learning curve, by telling you these 8 Tips to Prepare for Chemo.

And if you're not the patient, but are a supporting person, you might want to read these too, so you can help make this a more positive experience. Tips number 6 and 7 are where you can do the most good!

When I was having chemo, I had to stop drinking my usual glass of orange juice in the morning. For me, chemo and orange juice didn’t mix – it left my stomach feeling queasy all day long. Once I stopped having orange juice, I felt much better. When I was finished with chemo, I returned to my juice!
